Wishing You A Very Happy New Year
It seems hard to believe that yet another year has gone by and we’re posting to thank you for following our news throughout the year. We’re always happy to share our little slice of heaven with you whether you’re in our neck of the wood of not. After all, being a neighbor has less to do about where you live than how you treat others.
As you head into your holiday weekend, we’ll leave you with some warm thoughts to get your 2012 started on the right foot.
Knowing your neighbors. It’s not uncommon that we find ourselves living in areas where we don’t know our neighbors too well. This year, resolve to say hello. To wave. To shovel the snow from a bit more sidewalk that might extend in front of your neighbor’s home. Maybe grab a piece of trash that’s blown into their yard when you’re out for a walk. It’s all about how you act, not so much about where you live.
Getting your home in order. January 1 is a perfect time to schedule things like insurance audits, home inspections and other tasks we tend to put off throughout the year. Why not make a few phone calls and sleep better at night, knowing your home and loved ones are taken care of from the floor to the chimney tops?
Clear it out. How much clutter is in your home? Most of us enjoy the blessing of living with more than we need (and most certainly more than we use). The new year is a ripe season for clearing out the clutter and making a donation to those less fortunate. Your local area will have many charities that could benefit from your donations. Give them a call (and many even have large item pickup services, too).
We look forward to seeing you in 2012 – and wish you and yours a very happy New Year!
